During Trezor.io/start initialization, your device generates a unique recovery seed of 12 or 24 words. Write each word in exact order on the provided card. Store completely offline in secure locations after Trezor.io/start setup completes.

Backup and Recovery Procedures

If your device is lost or damaged, recover on a new device through Trezor.io/start. Select Restore wallet from recovery seed and enter your seed in exact order. Trezor.io/start verifies and restores access to all funds. Test recovery with small amounts before relying on it. Optional passphrase protection creates additional hidden wallets.
